3D-printed keyboard

I 3D-printed my own keyboard! The keyboard is a Redox which I found the design files for online. I got the switches by desoldering them from a used keyboard I bought. The switches are lubed Cherry MX Reds. I also got some o-rings for them so that they are nice and quiet. It is a split keyboard so that you can have your mouse in between the two halves. It is also more ergonomic for your shoulders.

In each keyboard half there is a microcontroller which is capable of appearing as a USB keyboard to the computer. It is running the open-source keyboard firmware QMK that I have configured to my liking. It connects to the computer via a removable micro-USB cable. The halves are connected with a cable that I made myself with some JST connectors. The halves communicate with each other via I2C.

I have made even weird 3d-printed keyboards since. I should probably update this project description some day...
